Photograph of his Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Taken on his visit to Södertörn University College in Stockholm Sweden, in the spring of 2011. He held a speech entitled “A Human Approach to World Peace” for the lucky students and teachers at the school.
I waited outside several hours, on a chilly Swedish April morning, just to try and get a glimpse (and hopefully a photo) of His Holiness. He was escorted by assistants and guards, and on top of that I had to battle a crowd of people who were also waiting for him to depart. Apart from that, I had quite a clear view of the Dalai Lama for a couple of seconds.
